Preserving the environment is an agenda that should never be ignored, which is why sustainability has stood out for changing the way we look at this issue without losing focus on the current needs of each person.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Talking about sustainability also involves issues such as urban mobility and transportation in cities, since they are directly related to the environment and quality of life. Means of transportation are essential for going to work, studying and for leisure activities, and worrying about sustainable transportation means thinking about the environment and a quality future for generations to come. Here's a little more about sustainable transportation and its importance for health:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What is sustainable transportation?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim of this term is to unite strategies so that the population can move around using transport that doesn't cause too much damage to the environment. With car transportation, traffic has been damaged, there has been an increase in environmental issues and a high cost of fuel. So the proposal for sustainable transport would be to use means other than cars and motorcycles, such as: public transport such as buses, trains, subways or individual use such as bicycles, scooters, among others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The importance of sustainable transport<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But what is the importance of this form of transportation? Despite being a simple switch, using other means of transportation reduces traffic accidents, pollutants and noise pollution. The greater the number of people who use cars, the greater the generation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, causing an increase in global warming.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If everyone opted for sustainable transportation most days, traffic would flow quickly and naturally, the generation of pollutants would be reduced and the high cost of fuel could be used for other needs. In addition, it is essential to mention the health benefits generated by sustainable transport: if someone chooses to use a bicycle or to walk somewhere, for example over short distances, they will already be exercising, combating a sedentary lifestyle and maintaining a healthier routine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fact that you won't spend hours in traffic and will be able to use that time for other leisure activities can also be highlighted as a healthy option, as stress will be reduced and you'll have more time to enjoy each day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can see that a simple act can bring about a significant change in people's well-being and in the preservation of the environment. Having people who are aware of and care about these causes brings a wave of people influenced and engaged to maintain the same stance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That's why it's so important for companies, for example, to broaden their strategies towards sustainable guidelines, since many people depend on transportation to get to work.
